As a former employee at Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) from 2004 to 2013, I worked across various correctional centres including Brisbane Women’s Correctional Centre, Brisbane Correctional Centre and Wolston Correctional Centre. I have experience working with prisoners in protection and High Security custodial settings who presented with a broad range of mental health concerns and complex offender risk needs. My previous employment with QCS also included working in Sexual Offending Treatment programs with high-risk sexual offenders placed on the Dangerous Prisoners Sexual Offenders Act (DPSOA), where I developed skills in group facilitation and a comprehensive understanding of offence-specific treatment pathways.
I am an affiliate of the Society for the Advancement of Actuarial Risk Need Assessment (SAARNA) and have completed training in static and dynamic sexual offending risk assessment.
