Yes. MindView Therapy is an Australia-wide telehealth psychology service accessible to all Australians. All you need is access to an internet connection, a reliable device and a private space for your session.
A Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) is a support plan written by a GP and is available to anyone who feels they would benefit from psychological support for mental health concerns. A MHTP is accompanied by a referral from your GP to see a psychologist. With a MHTP you can access up to 10 Medicare-subsidised or bulk billed psychology sessions per calendar year.
You are eligible to receive up to 10 Medicare-subsidised sessions per calendar year. After 6 sessions, you will need to book in a MHTP review with your GP. Your psychologist will prepare a progress report which will be given to your GP before your appointment.
If you need more sessions, your GP will give you a new referral and you can have up to 4 more Medicare-subsidised sessions. After your 10th session, your psychologist will complete another report for your GP.
Yes, but you will not receive any Medicare rebates.
First, you will need to book an extended appointment with your GP to discuss your concerns. You will need to give your psychologist a referral letter and MHTP from your GP before your first session to access Medicare rebates.
Medicare rebates will appear back in your account within 2-5 business days after your completed session. You may also process your own claims through Medicare if preferred.
At MindView Therapy, we know how important it is to access mental health support. That’s why anyone who has a valid Medicare card, is currently living in Australia and meets certain criteria may be eligible for bulk-billing. Please get in touch to discuss your specific circumstances.
Please speak to your private health insurer directly about your level of cover to check whether you're eligible to claim some or all of the cost of each psychology session. If eligible, you will need to lodge your own private health insurance claims as this cannot be done by MindView Therapy.
Therapy sessions are carried out via Zoom. You can join your session from your web browser and do not need to download Zoom or create an account. Your psychologist will send you a meeting invite link by email before your session. Click the join link to start your session.
Sessions that are cancelled with more than 24 hours notice will not have any cancellation fees.
A cancelled appointment without enough notice or a reasonable explanation is a loss to three people: (1) the client who is delaying their therapy progress, (2) another client who is on the waiting list to see the psychologist urgently and (3) the psychologist who spent the morning preparing for the session.
